Losing one’s mother or father is one of the greatest hardships a child can face throughout life. Many orphans who lose their economic and social protection are left completely alone in the world, as they often have no other guardian. Today, there are millions of orphans around the world who are in need of assistance. The primary causes of orphanhood are wars and epidemics. As Merhamet Teşkilatı, we take responsibility for the orphans entrusted to the Ummah and strive to protect them and prepare them for the future. We make every effort to ensure that they do not feel alone in a world where they are left unprotected.
Operating in all areas that concern human life—from food and healthcare to sacrificial aid, heating assistance, shelter, and emergency relief—Merhamet Teşkilatı Human Rights and Freedoms Humanitarian Aid Association (Merhamet Teşkilatı) never neglects to extend a hand of compassion to orphans and vulnerable children. By protecting and supporting the homeless, widows, orphans, fatherless children, street children, people left without shelter, displaced individuals, refugees, and stranded persons, Merhamet Teşkilatı alleviates suffering through nursing homes, shelters, safe houses, soup kitchens, daycare centers, guesthouses, and orphanages established in Türkiye and various parts of the world.
By establishing, operating, and supporting all kinds of life-centered initiatives, Merhamet Teşkilatı acts as both a mother and a father to the children of the Ummah through its orphanages—one each in Kilis, Osmaniye, and Reyhanlı (Hatay) in Türkiye; two in Bangladesh; two in Ghana; and one in Kenya. While millions of children around the world are left orphaned or fatherless due to wars and epidemics, Merhamet Teşkilatı protects these orphans entrusted to the Ummah by Allah (SWT), helping them stand on their own feet and build a hopeful future.
